Abiding Lines Dance Company was founded in 2012 by Kara Dubyk with a goal to promote dance and a desire to create professional opportunities for  dancers who wish to pursue a professional career in dance. We provide a safe place where life-long friendships are formed through encouragement, support and mutual learning through our mentorship program. Creating, producing and promoting a high-quality professional show, Abiding Lines aims to introduce dance theatre to a wide variety of communities throughout Saskatchewan. 

Kara Dubyk

Artistic Director

Kara grew up dancing in Saskatoon, SK. and at a young age, discovered a love and talent for choreography. Since then, she has found a creative niche in the form of contemporary dance. The Abiding Lines Dance Company is a creative outlet for Kara to set her unique choreography on some of Saskatchewan’s most talented dancers. She is known for her passion for the arts and she uses this drive to continually encourages her dancers to reach their full potential.

Amy Rusheleau

Production Director

Amy grew up dancing and performing in Prince Albert, SK. In addition to her dance training, Amy spent many years with the Broadway North Theatre Company, both onstage and behind the scenes. The annual ALDC production gives Amy the opportunity to devote her creative energy to developing an intricate storyline in collaboration with Kara. The theme and plot of each show is paired with Kara’s powerful choreography which culminates in a dynamic full-length production.
